Five things to see/do in Monterrey:
 Take a walk along the Paseo de Santa Lucia, through Monterrey’s historic district, which passes through the Plaza de los 40 Años (40 Year Square) as well as the Mexican History Museum.
 Apart from offering rest and recreation, The Ninos Heroes Park (Parque Ninos Heroes) has several museums and a botanical garden.
 The Macroplaza reaffirms Monterrey as a modern city. The huge, modern city square (one of the largest in the world) has several interesting statues, and is close to many shops, restaurants, and other attractions.
 Both the Museo del Obispado and the Pinacoteca del Estado offer an overview of the history (and art) of the region.
 Located in a working glass factory, the Museo del Vidrio (Glass Museum) offers an interesting overview of the glass-making process (especially in Mexico), as well as some beautiful glass sculpture (from around the world) on display.
