Five things to see/do in Newcastle: Take the Newcastle “heritage walk” – a three kilometer (two mile) walk past some of the city’s most famous landmarks – the Customs House, the Convict Lumber Yard, Fort Scratchley, and more.
Visit the Newcastle Castle, which dates back to the 12th century. The supposedly “haunted” castle is a fine example of a classic Norman-style keep.
