Five things to see/do in Limerick:
 The Treaty Stone, commemorating the 17th century Treaty of Limerick, is hisorically significant to the history of Ireland. The walk from the center of the town to the stone, along the river Shannon, is, in itself, quite beautiful.
 The Hunt Museum has one of Ireland’s most impressive collections of art, including a good number of fine art pieces from the 20th century.
 The quaintly understated St. Mary’s Cathedral, Limerick’s oldest building, offers self guided tours where you can learn more about the church and its place in the history of Limerick.
 For a good collection of Irish art from the 19th and 20th century, don’t miss a visit to the Limerick City Gallery (free entry).
 The huge King John’s Castle, a recently renovated 13th century castle, offers guided tours and nice views of the town from the top of it’s tower.
