Five things to see/do in Barcelona: The famous modernist Church of the Sacred Family (Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia), designed by Gaudi, is one of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Take a walk through Guell Park, the hillside World Heritage Site which has a couple of notable Gaudi structures, as well as panoramic views of the city below.
La Pedrera/Mila House (Casa Mila), another of Gaudi’s buildings, is just as popular as the others, although its facade is more impressive than its interior.
The mega-touristy street Las Ramblas might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the adjacent Old Barcelona neighborhood is worth exploring with its narrow streets, beautiful historic buildings, restaurants, and bars.
Spend some time on the beach. The closest and most popular beach in the city is Barceloneta, which offers lots of typical attractions for those looking for some sun and fun.
