Five things to see/do in Gdansk: Check out the Ratusz (City Hall), an impressive 15th century structrure and one of the city’s main landmarks, as well as the Gdansk City Museum, located inside.
The Wielki Mlyn (Old Mill), another one of Gdansk’s landmarks was built by the Teuronic Knights back in the 14th century, and was Europe’s largest mill at the time.
Take a walk down Old Gdansk’s famous “Long Street” (Ulica Dluga), where you’ll find several notable buildings/structures, including the Torture Tower (which also houses the Amber Museum), and the Upland Gate (Brama Wyzynna).
King Arthur’s Court (Dwor Artusa), with its beautiful ship models hanging on the walls, will give you an idea about this maritime city’s historic importance.
Don’t miss Westerplatte, the site where World War II started. There’s a small, but intersting museum as well as a monument to the Polish defenders.
