Five things to see/do in Nice:
Take a stroll through Nice’s old town (Vieux Nice). Explore the quaint narrow streets, beautiful buildings and squares of this historic neighborhood. Great for grabbing a coffee, a quick meal, and people-watching.
While in Old Nice, don’t miss a couple of the city’s most famous historic architectural landmarks – the neo-classical 19th century Palais de Justice, and the baroque Chapelle de la Misericorde.
Marvel at the beautiful panoramic views of the city from the park up top Castle Hill (Colline du Chateau).
Constructed at the turn of the last century, the Russian Orthodox Cathedral is one of the largest outside of Russia, and has become one of Nice’s landmarks, with its beautiful facade and interior.
Take a walk along the beach on the famous Promenade des Anglais. For those looking for closer contact with the sea, Nice’s beaches do tend to be on the rocky side.
