Five things to see/do in Puebla: Start your sightseeing by a visit to the Zocalo, Puebla’s vibrant central square, with it’s beautiful buildings (cathedral, city hall, etc.), as well as several restaurants and bars.
The Cantona Archaeological Ruins, about an hour from Puebla, offer a more peaceful (less crowded) way to appreciate the heritage of Mexico’s ancient civilizations.
Not far from the Zocalo (see above), The Rosary Chapel (Capilla del Rosario) in the Santo Domingo Church is an elaborately decorated Baroque chapel with beautiful tiles, statues, and carvings.
The Alley of the Frogs (Callejon de los Sapos), a street lined with antique shops during the day, turns into a popular going out area at night with several venues offering live music.
The Amparo Museum (Museo Amparo) offers visitors a good collection of relics and pieces of art from both colonial and pre-Columbian times.
