Five things to see/do in Waterford:
Don’t miss a visit to the Waterford Crystal Factory, where the world-famous Waterford crystal is made.
Remains of the ancient Viking defensive wall can still be seen today in the Reginalds Tower, which now houses a museum outlining the history of Ireland’s oldest city.
Visit the Rock of Cashel, which includes ruins of a castle and a church, a museum, several historic cemeteries, as well as beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
The Clock Tower, dating back to the later 19th century, is probably Waterford’s most notable architectural landmark.
In the summer, take a day-trip to Tramore, one of Ireland’s top seaside resorts, located about one hour from Waterford.
