One of the hardest things about travelling the world as a digital nomad is finding a place to work. Let me tell you, although the idea of working by the pool or in your hotel room sounds cool – and it is probably what most people imagine you do when you tell them you work on the Internet – it is often impractical and results in you being less productive (you try concentrating on work when you are sitting in the shade by a swimming pool). The obvious solution is shared office space, which can cost hundreds of dollars a month.

There are hundreds of companies, both large and small, that offer shared work space to professional travellers. Regus is one such company – it also happens to be one of the biggest – that offers office work space in major cities all over the world. The office spaces are always in prime city locations – normally in the heart of the business district – where you can rock in and work in a professional environment with fast Internet and free coffee.

Regus normally offer members access to these work spaces for $300 a year. They also have a similar programme that gives frequent fliers access to business class lounges for a flat annual fee, but I digress… The reason I am talking so much about Regus is because I want to tell you how to access the shared office space that they run all over the world for absolutely nothing.

The first thing you will need to do, if you want to take advantage of this loophole, is go to the Regus website. Then, sign up for the BusinessWorld Gold Card for a year, using the code “theanywhereoffice.”

Once you’re account is activated, use the website to find the nearest shared office space to you and you will be away. Honestly, try signing up, before deciding that this offer is too good to be true. I promise you, if you are a regular traveller running a business, these office spaces will prove invaluable.
